Katie Walsh is a Peabody and Emmy-award winning producer and director who works across documentary, commercial and branded content platforms.  She founded Project Life Media in 2006 to meet the needs of a diverse client base and expand her offerings as a full-service production company.

She recently completed a seven-part documentary series about Simone Biles called Simone VS Herself. The film followed Simone as she prepared for and competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The series focused on both Simone's athletic and personal life and provided an intimate look into her struggle with her mental health that dominated the headlines during the 2020 Olympic Games.

In 2018, Katie directed the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage film for the ESPY Awards. The film honored the bravert and conviction of the sister survivors in the Larry Nassar case and received a 2019 Peabody Award for outstanding storytelling.

Katie’s documentary work has been featured on HBO, Hulu, Disney+, NBC Sports, ESPN, ABC as well as multiple cable networks and multimedia platforms. Her commercial and branded content clients include Ford, Under Armour, Toyota, Athleta, Tennis Hall of Fame, Goldman Sachs, Vineyard Vines, espnW and L’Oreal.

Whether she’s profiling an Olympic athlete or working with a Fortune 500 company, Katie captures her subject’s authentic spirit and brings their personal journey to the screen through creative storytelling. Her goal is to inspire others by shining a light on stories about perseverance and the human condition.
